In the not too distant future, water, not oil, is the most sought-after resource in the world and the most powerful geopolitical tool one can ever hope to wield. Where mighty cities once stood, now stand sprawling deserts and unending stretches of sand. A reformed assassin with an ultra-violent past discovers the existence of a secret underground lake hidden within a small, isolated settlement.
